Fitness is my happy place. A sanctuary. I’ve worked the indoor gym setting for over a decade, but it wasn’t until Summer 2014, when I taught outdoor boot camps in a beautiful park for a local boutique gym, that everything clicked. With all of the indoor workout basics (music, lights, mirrors ...you get the idea) stripped away, I was left with just my passion, personality and knowledge to carry the class. G MOVES -- an edgy, fun, and tough boot camp -- was born. Built on three core principles of strength, focus, and positive energy, here’s what makes up G MOVES.
A simple, effective workout.
My favorite life concept is that simplicity trumps complexity. Doesn’t that already just make you breathe a little easier? I stripped away the extras so all we’re left with are basic, but challenging, bodyweight exercises. We work through combinations of these exercises in rapid succession, with minimal breaks. A simple, effective workout. Everytime.
But, let’s be clear, simple doesn’t mean easy.
Simple means we don’t fuss with clunky equipment, a crackling sound system, or a 4-step backflip. We focus on the fundamentals of excellent form, technique, and execution.
A focused community.
My vision for G MOVES is to empower a strong, fit, and positive community. The G MOVES boot camp is an inclusive environment; come to my monthly free class, drop by periodically, or sweat with us on the regular. (For my full schedule, check out my calendar!) We are a focused team that motivates each other through the challenges of the workout, while intensely competing with ourselves. No drill sergeant tactics. No judgment. Just a group of individuals who make up a kick ass community.
A warrior lifestyle.
The G MOVES boot camp starts early. Sometimes we’re up and at it before the sun even rises. Even when it’s cold outside. Why? Because busy professionals want to get an energizing workout in before conquering the day. It just feels good. Don’t think you’re a morning person? I challenge you to give it a try for one week. You’ll feel inspired, and strengthened. Not to mention a true badass. What’s not to love?
I created G MOVES to be an outlet for my energy and creativity that also empowers and strengthens others. It’s more than just a back-to-basics bodyweight workout. It’s a group with discipline, strength, and determination. Want some? Give me a try. All I need is 55 minutes to make you a sweaty, satisfied mess.
